Singer Anastacia wins Australian edition
Anastacia is the reigning “The Masked Singer” winner in Australia.

“The Masked Singer” is also a hit in Australia. The current season was able to win an US star there with Anastacia.
The colorful singing show “The Masked Singer” is very popular in a large number of countries. This also applies to Down Under. The third season of the Australian edition celebrated its grand finale and unmasked the winner. Under the vampire costume was a star from the USA: singer Anastacia (53).
With her performance of the Paul McCartney hit “Live And Let Die” she secured first place ahead of local heroes Axle Whitehead (40, 3rd place) and Em Rusciano (42, 2nd place). “The Music Network” quotes Anastacia when askedon why she took part in the Australian edition of the show, saying, “I actually asked myself that question when I saw the costume for the first time. I was scared to death about being the vampire.” Because of Corona, she “couldn’t perform for 18 months. I’m a live performer, so that was magical for me.”
What’s next for the German edition?
Fans of the German counterpart don’t have to wait long. The fifth season will start on ProSieben from October 16. The first costumes have already been revealed, the hammerhead shark, the pug and the chilli will puzzle the jury and the audience. The last fourth season was won by singer Sasha in the spring of 2021.
