ProSieben has unveiled a new “Masked Singer” costume: The Axolotl ensures colorful appearances with LED lights.

The Axolotl is the new mask in “The Masked Singer”. The underwater resident will perform on stage on the fifth season of the ProSieben show (every Saturday, 8:15 p.m., live and on Joyn) from October 16. Due to a special feature of the costume, the Lurch mask will ensure colorful appearances.

Cheeky little animal with tentacles

A shimmering fabric with sparkling mother-of-pearl colors was used for the costume, which was produced in 700 hours, and airbrushed in twelve translucent colors. Rainbow colored beads were also mounted on the costume. Thanks to built-in LED lights, the axolotl can change its color depending on the mood. Its tentacles have a wingspan of 1.60 meters. The axolotl is also presented as a “child’s head” who wants to conquer the “Masked Singer” stage with cheeky sayings and amiable taunts.

In addition to the axolotl, the teddy, heroine, hammerhead shark, chili, pug, and skunk will all take part in the show. The last of the ten masks have not yet been revealed. A special feature of the season: The tiger appears exclusively in an online show and parallel to the TV broadcast. On November 20th there will be the dissolution and unveiling of the eleventh mask online.
