After the phoenix was unmasked last week, two revelations were scheduled for “TMS” on Saturday. Who were Teddy and Axolotl?

At ProSieben, the masked singers sang on Saturday evening (November 13th) to make it into the finale of the fifth season of “The Masked Singer”. After the phoenix turned out to be actor Samuel Koch (28) in the previous edition, there were only six candidates left. And this time two celebrities were unmasked: In the costumes of the teddy and the axolotl …

Joko Winterscheidt strengthened the advice team

… Annemarie Carpendale (44) and Andrea Sawatzki (58). But back to the beginning: As a guest in the advice team of Ruth Moschner (45) and Rea Garvey (48), presenter Joko Winterscheidt (42, “The Duel Around the World”) was seen this time. After the appearance of Mülli Müller, he threw the name Thomas D. (52) into the room. Ms. Moschner, on the other hand, guessed Wolfgang Petry (70).

After the first vocal triad between Müller, the Axolotl and the Pug, the first decision was made. Which costume has already made it into the big show finale? In the end, Mülli Müller had reason to be (early) happy, who convinced with his heartbreaking performance of Whitney Houston’s (1963-2012) “I Will Always Love You” and dedicated it to his garbage can “Bertha”. He even carried host Matthias Opdenhövel (51) euphorically on his hands.

In Triell number two, the teddy, the heroine and the caterpillar competed against each other. In “Englishman in New York” by Sting (70) the teddy bear did not hit all the notes perfectly, but it had already conquered Rea Garvey’s heart. “May I say I love you,” the Irishman revealed. Joko Winterscheidt meanwhile already guessed that his colleague Annemarie Carpendale could be under the mask.

Is Christina Stürmer really the heroine?

After the performance of the heroine, who performed “Mother Nature”, it seemed to be an open secret that Christina Stürmer (39) is in costume. The secret was not revealed, however, because she and the caterpillar came into the final round of Saturday evening. Instead, the teddy had to take off his fluffy mask – and Joko Winterscheidt cheered when ProSieben star Carpendale appeared.

In the last of the three trials, the axolotl, the pug and the heroine competed with each other and especially the pug version of the title “Chasing Cars” by Snow Patrol was enthusiastic. But also “Hedonism (Just Because You Feel Good)” by Skunk Anansie became a hit in the version of the heroine – and Rea Garvey was still very sure of his assumption that 39-year-old Christina Stürmer must indeed be under the mask . “You can feel your heart, Christina,” said the Irishman.

In the last decision of the evening, first the pug and then the heroine could look forward to the ticket to “The Masked Singer” final – and then the axolotl had to be exposed. Ruth Moschner guessed that actress Andrea Sawatzki was hiding in the funny costume.

Pug, heroine, Mülli Müller and the caterpillar are in the “The Masked Singer” final

In the fifth season of “The Masked Singer” the chilli, the hammerhead shark, the skunk and the phoenix were already exposed. “Tagesschau” head spokesman Jens Riewa (58), former professional soccer player Pierre Littbarski (61), singer and actor Peter Kraus (82) and Samuel Koch hid under the masks.

The grand finale of the full-length show will take place next Saturday (November 20) from 8.15 p.m. on ProSieben.
