In the second edition of the fifth “Masked Singer” season, the hammerhead shark was unmasked. Who was under the costume?

Axolotl, hammerhead shark, pug, Mülli Müller, phoenix, caterpillar, skunk, teddy bear and the heroine: Nine masks were on the “The Masked Singer” stage last Saturday evening (23 October) (always on Saturdays at 8:15 pm on ProSieben). Who is behind the costumes? The advice team around Ruth Moschner (45) and Rea Garvey (48) received prominent support this time from actress Janin Ullmann (39). The mask celebrities had to deliver their performances in three three-way battles. First the pug, the teddy bear and the skunk went on stage.

The guessing team suspects these celebrities to be under the masks

In the second episode of the fifth season, the guessing team is still at the very beginning of their puzzle journey. This time, the guessing team suspected the experienced singers Jeanette Biedermann (41) and Yvonne Catterfeld (41) to be among the pug. Cathy Hummels (33) or Collien Ulmen-Fernandes (40) could be under the cuddly teddy bear. When it came to the skunk, the guessing team was pretty much in the dark. Ullmann suspected as a daring tip that Joko Winterscheidt (42) might be under the mask. In the end, the skunk had to tremble out of this trio.

In the second round, Mülli Müller, the hammerhead and the heroine were allowed on stage. The team around Moschner suspected Fynn Kliemann (33) or the singers Tim Bendzko (36) and Alexander Klaws (38) behind Mülli Müller, the environmentally conscious mask wants to rid the world of garbage, matching its name. The hammerhead shark could be Elton (50) or Pierre Littbarski (61). The heroine convinced with her soulful voice – Natalia Avelon (41) or Jana Pallaske (42) could be under the mask, the team advised. The hammerhead had to admit defeat in the three-way battle.

This mask had to reveal itself

“A bit crazy,” said Rea Garvey about the axolotl, which is why he suspected Comedienne Martina Hill (47) behind the mask. His colleagues were also able to introduce themselves to Anke Engelke (55). From “Firestarter” in the last episode to the soulful “Imagine”: According to Moschner, the Phoenix made “an incredibly special appearance” again, which further confused the advice team. Is it Alexander Gerst (45) or is it Mario Basler (52)? The caterpillar Resi rocked again with a Tina Turner song across the stage. Mandy Capristo (31) or Vanessa Mai (29) were suspected of being under the costume this time. The axolotl was the least likely to impress the audience in the trio.

So the skunk, hammerhead shark and axolotl had to tremble. The hammerhead received the fewest votes and had to unmask. Pierre Littbarski (61) was actually under the costume. He would miss his mask very much, declared the soccer world champion from 1990 at the end – and performed his song “Vamos a la playa” one last time.
