The Masked Singer: Two costumes are unmasked with goddess and cockroach

The third edition of "The Masked Singer" 2020 is a novelty right from the start: for the first time, one of the candidates voluntarily left the show. Moderator Matthias Opdenhövel (48) announces that the cockroach will no longer be there at his own request. However, the unmasking only takes place towards the end of the program. It is clear that two stars will be unmasked this time. Wuschel and Hase must duel in front of empty ranks as well as robots and goddess. One can expect a top class three-way fight from the chameleon, the dragon and the sloth.

This time, Luke Mockridge (30) sits on the council team alongside Ruth Moschner (43) and Rea Garvey (46). So far, some viewers suspected this under the sloth costume. Mockridge joins the fun and initially wears a sloth mask and the same shirt as the plush animal. However, not a small part of the audience also tends to Stefan Raab (53). "Fauli", as he is affectionately known by Opdenhövel, makes guessing even more difficult by singing with "Volare" an Italian song that hardly allows any indication of his voice. The guessing team speculates among other things on comedian Mirco Nontschew (50). One thing is certain: In the end, the sloth easily gets on. The dragon, in which Garvey is absolutely convinced that it must be Gregor Meyle (41), is moving into the next round with a version of Adele's "Set Fire To The Rain". The chameleon has to tremble at first, but continues in the end.

The sheen of the goddess vanishes

Before that, the whisper prevails against the rabbit, which this time strikes somewhat wilder techno tones. Moschner therefore guesses Jasmin Wagner (39), who as a flower can have an electrical past. With "The Winner Takes It All", the robot confidently wins its duel against the goddess, in which everyone from the guessing team gropes in the dark. Mockridge thinks based on the evidence Maren Gilzer (60), Garvey initially decides on Ulla Kock am Brink (58) and Moschner suspects Paula Lambert (45) under the golden costume. When the mask is removed at the end of the show, someone turns out to be one that neither viewers nor the advice team had on the screen so far: actress Rebecca Immanuel (49), known from "Edel & Starck" or "Der Bergdoktor", played the role of Goddess out.

Definitely a surprise for the advice team. Moschner, Garvey and Mockridge were all right when it came to exposing the cockroach that rocked the studio with hip-hop sounds in the first two shows. Angelo Kelly (38) appeared in a video as a cockroach. In a message, he said that the show had given him "insane joy". But since he lives in Ireland, traveling is incredibly difficult these days: "I cannot be responsible for traveling in the current time and therefore decided to stop voluntarily", he said goodbye to "The Mask Singer" like Immanuel.
