Two weeks ago he was involuntarily exposed on “The Masked Singer” because his mask slipped. In the fourth episode of the ninth season on December 9th, Uwe Ochsenknecht (67) was eliminated as a Kiwi. Despite the mask mishap, the guessing team tried to keep the tension going a bit and initially brought more celebrity names into play. Nevertheless, the unmasking of the well-known actor was no longer a surprise.

Ochsenknecht explains the mask breakdown

In the second episode of the live show, a gust of wind briefly blew the actor’s mask off his head. It was the first mishap of its kind on “The Masked Singer.” Surprisingly, Ochsenknecht was still voted on by the audience afterwards – probably also because he put on an entertaining show as a Kiwi. Yesterday evening he had to say goodbye. Regarding the mask mishap, he explained after his unmasking that his hat was supposed to fly off during the stormy performance. But the wind machine was too strong and caught his masked head. Nevertheless, he was positive about his time on the ProSieben show: “It was a lot of fun.”

Previously, the advice team with Ruth Moschner (47), comedian Rick Kavanian (52) and the guest double pack of comedian Carolin Kebekus (43) and her brother David (39) tried to revive the tension surrounding the Kiwi. After he sang “Rebel Yell” by Billy Idol, the Kebekus siblings brought in other actors from “Das Boot”: “Who played in ‘Das Boot’, for example: Martin Semmelrogge,” said Carolin Kebekus. Her brother said: “It could be an actor who could be classified as a villain. Ralf Richter also played in the boat.” He also named Herbert Grönemeyer (67). Viewers online were a bit annoyed by this game of hide-and-seek: “Everyone knows it’s Ochsenknecht.”

Five masks are still in the running

The actor is the fourth celebrity to leave the show. Last week, journalist Jenke von Wilmsdorff (58) was officially exposed. After the first episode, singer Katja Ebstein (78) had to remove her Okapi mask, after which it became known that model Eva Padberg (43) was under the fire extinguisher costume.

Now there are five masks left: Ice Princess, Troll, Lulatsch, Mustang and Klaus Claus. The fifth episode runs on Saturday, December 16th, from 8:15 p.m. on ProSieben.
