On Saturday evening there was another round of “The Masked Singer” on ProSieben. Because the teddy had to sit out, seven instead of eight celebrity candidates presented their singing skills. This time the skunk was unmasked. Guest in the advice team of Ruth Moschner (45) and Rea Garvey (48) was moderator Steven Gätjen (49).
In two rounds, the masked stars should first secure progress. However, the skunk, the axolotl, the phoenix and the pug could not convince as much as their opponents and had to fear. None of the celebrities who took part in the puzzle could finally guess that the singer and actor Peter Kraus (82) was in a skunk costume.
“Nobody had the slightest idea”
“Nobody had the slightest idea” that someone of this age could deliver such a performance, said moderator Matthias Opdenhövel (51) after the unveiling. Moschner in particular was previously “in despair”. In the case of the skunk, she was “completely lost” who could hide behind the mask. Names like Michael Mittermeier (55) and Joko Winterscheidt (42) were mentioned. The audience guessed, among others, Steffen Henssler (49) and Riccardo Simonetti (28).
Corona compulsory break for the teddy bear
Meanwhile, Teddy was unable to perform on Saturday evening. Even before the live show began, it was known that the celebrity, whose identity is not yet known, had been infected with the corona virus. The teddy was “doing well” it said in a press release from the broadcaster.
In the show, the teddy also sent a message of greeting. He was double vaccinated and according to the circumstances he is doing well. He was “very confident that I will be back on ‘The Masked Singer’ stage next week”. In front of the television, the teddy would of course guess who his comrades-in-arms might be.
Heidi Klum or Vanessa Mai?
But who are the other celebs? This question is not only being asked by the advice team, but also by the whole of Germany. Under the mask of the heroine, Moschner and Garvey suspected the singers Stefanie Kloß (36) and Christina Stürmer (39), among others. At Mülli Müller, Gätjen guessed Teddy Teclebrhan (38) and Garvey threw “Evil” Jared (50) from the Bloodhound Gang into the group.
For the caterpillar, the rate celebs tipped Vanessa Mai (29) and Sandy Mölling (40), among others. They were completely at odds with the axolotl, behind which Max Giermann (46), Otto Waalkes (73) or Heidi Klum (48) could be among others. And who is the phoenix? Jan Josef Liefers (57) or Samuel Koch (34), at least when it comes to Garvey and Gätjen. Among others, Jeanette Biedermann (41) or Jeannine Michaelsen (39) think the three are the pug.
The chilli and hammerhead shark were exposed in the previous episodes of the fifth season of “The Masked Singer”. “Tagesschau” head spokesman Jens Riewa (58) and the former professional soccer player Pierre Littbarski (61) hid under the masks.
“The Masked Singer” always runs on Saturdays from 8:15 pm on ProSieben. The grand finale will take place on November 20th.
