The medieval adventure game Pentiment will be released on November 15

Unveiled during the Xbox & Bethesda Showcase, Josh Sawyer’s project Penance sees its release date confirmed for November 15, 2022. The narrative adventure game will be available on PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series, not to mention its presence in the Game Pass.

Developed by Obsidian Entertainment, Pentiment is illustrated by its unusual graphic style. With these looks of living illumination, the game takes us without problem to Upper Bavaria in the 16th century. Immersed in the heart of the Holy Roman Empire, you will follow Andreas Maler, a young talented illustrator. He finds himself, in spite of himself, caught up in a series of murders and scandals within the abbey of Kiersau. All this over a period of 25 years. Of course, over the years that pass, the protagonists around him will evolve, and only he will finally be able to unmask the assassin.

In this story, each of your choices will have an impact. Of course, your decisions will influence the progress of the investigation and its outcome, but not only. The whole personality of Andreas will also flow from it. Thus, your choices will shape his identity as much in his lifestyle as in his level of education, which will inevitably have an impact on his way of carrying out the investigation. But be careful, because your decisions will most often cause irreversible repercussions.
