Menton, a commune in the Alpes-Maritimes (06) with 30,000 inhabitants, located near Monaco and the Italian border, is renowned for its famous Lemon FestivalIn 2018, the city inaugurated the first edition of its Video and board game fair. With an influx of 3,000 visitors in a single day, the event was a great success and was repeated for the next three editions.. With these encouraging results, the city’s youth service, in charge of the organization, is actively preparing the fifth edition scheduled for this weekend.
Two days dedicated to completely free video and board games, isn’t life wonderful?
Held in the heart of the city, in the Palais de l’Europe, the event is easily accessible by car, bus or train. Close to the coast, it even offers the possibility of a peaceful picnic on the beach between two tournaments or events. During these two days, visitors will be able to enjoy a varied program including manga, virtual reality (on our stand), Retro-Gaming, escape games, as well as board games, card games, wooden games, and classics like Monopoly (French championship).
Tournaments – FC24, Just Dance, Retro-Gaming – will be organized on Saturday and Sundaybut free access will also be offered for those who prefer to enjoy the event without the competitive spirit. Our virtual reality stand, located inside the Palace, will have a space with around ten VR headsets. This year, the theme is based on virtual sports and there will be basketball, archery, volleyball, boxing, bowling, tennis, badminton, ping-pong, kayaking, pétanque, golf and our F1 and flight simulator.. The Video and Board Games Show will open its doors at the Palais de L’Europe in Menton (06) between 10:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. on September 21 and 22, 2024.
