The MG4 will be marketed from 28,990 euros, release planned for 2022

After a remarkable release in the United Kingdom, the MG4 is about to land in France and the rest of Europe. Direct competitor of the Volkswagen ID.3, it can boast of displaying an attractive entry price for its range, namely 28,990 euros. At this price, the driver will have a vehicle with a range of 350 km, rechargeable in just over 40 minutes.

Earlier this month, MG launched an electric car in the UK that was a hit with drivers: the soberly titled MG4. The latter attracts more than one, who thus hopes for a release in other countries. That the most hasty are reassured: the vehicle will be entitled to its French launch. If the exact date is not yet known – except that it will take place before next year – MG has already revealed the prices and technical specifications of its new model.

The latter will be available in three versions: Standard, Comfort and Luxury. The first of them will display a starting price of 28,990 euros, which will not fail to be emulated among electric car aficionados. Indeed, as the technical data sheet that we will unroll below shows us, the MG4 is placed in direct rival of the Volkswagen ID.3 which, it costs at least 33,890 euros.

The MG4 is about to shake the electric giants

In addition, the Standard model does not have to be ashamed of its autonomy, since its 51 kWh battery allows you to drive for 350 km before recharging is necessary. The Comfort and Luxury models, meanwhile, offer a range of 450 and 435 km respectively, thanks to their 64 kWh battery. On the charging side, it will take 40 minutes for the Standard model to go from 10 to 80% autonomy.

It is therefore slightly more than the Volkswagen ID.3, which plans to go below the 30-minute mark this year. The higher end worms do slightly better with a recharge taking around 35 minutes. In terms of acceleration, the Standard model reaches 100 km/h in 7.7 seconds for a top speed of 160 km/h.

Finally, note that MG also plans to launch the MG4 in other European countries in the coming months, namely Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Spain, Norway, Sweden and Denmark. The manufacturer plans to offer 10 electric car models by 2025.
