Let’s take a look at the spec sheet first. 435 horsepower, deployed by two electric motors capable of propelling the vehicle from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.8 seconds, 600 Nm of torque and four-wheel drive. Like the Porsche Taycan and Tesla Model S Plaid, this little MG4 has Launch Control, optimizing departures and ensuring a hot start.

And yet, it’s not what’s under the hood that strikes the most at first glance, but its aggressive sports look. The tailgate immediately identifies this assertive signature, with its lacquered black treatment of body parts. The 18-inch wheels reveal the orange brake calipers with the model logo.

Big downside all the same, autonomy. It carries a 64 kWh battery allowing a range of only 385 km WLTP, all benefiting from a fast charge of 140 kW maximum. This is less than the standard or Luxury versions, which go up to 520 km of autonomy.

The price displayed on the show model is €36,140, less the €5,000 ecological bonus. On the site, the entry price for this model is €35,490.

This little car is sure to turn a few heads in its path. It allows the British brand under the Chinese flag to display its ambitions against the competition and to enrich an offer that is constantly diversifying. The MG4 ranks 5th in electric car sales in France in July 2023 and ranks 32nd in car sales in France from January to July, all engines combined.
