the MIF is bouncing back, here is the 2022 rate

The mutual life insurer MIF announced Tuesday the 2022 remuneration of its euro fund. For the first time in four years, it is up sharply.

The rate announcements for the year 2022 are scrolling. On Tuesday, it was notably the turn of the MIF which revealed the performance of its euro fund, one of the most scrutinized on the market. After having paid 1.70% net of management fees, and excluding tax and social security contributions, for 3 years in a row, between 2021 and 2019, clients of the Mutuelle d’Ivry Fraternelle will obtain a rate of 2.20% for the year 2022. It should be noted that this rate of 2.20% for 2022 affects all MIF life insurance contracts, regardless of age, level of outstandings or the share of units of account held.

A rise of 0.5 points which was made possible in particular by dipping into its reserves through the provision for profit-sharing (PPB). The MIF has however been cautious since it says it is maintaining a high level of reserves (3.16% of outstanding savings) in order to secure future returns.

The MIF in the top 5 euro funds

Attached to developing simple products, accessible to all and with low costs, the MIF thus demonstrates its ability to sustainably support its members in the current context of rising bond rates, underlines the MIF in a press release.

Note that with a rate of 2.2%, the mutual is doing as well as the remuneration also announced yesterday by the savings association Gaipare. They both find themselves, for the moment, the fifth place in the ranking of returns of funds in euros for 2022.

The MIF also announced the 2022 remuneration of its fund in euros of the Individual Retirement Savings Plan MIF PER Retraite. This one reaches 2.50%against 1.70% last year.
