First unveiled in 2015, the adorable Mineko’s Night Market took advantage of the Nintendo Indie World to get a release date. The title signed Meowza Games will be released on September 26, 2023 on PC via the Steam platform as well as on Nintendo Switch.
A small bubble of sweetness paying homage to Japanese culture, Mineko’s Night Market is a joyous mix of social simulation and narrative adventure. Players will be able to play as little Mineko, a young girl with a well-developed curiosity who has just moved to a small village at the foot of Mount Fugu. The inhabitants of the island, all very superstitious, worship the god of the sun, Nikko. And if for a long time its existence was only a myth, some recent testimonies would suggest that it is very real.
Through the themes of friendship, tradition and especially cats, the game will lead us to discover the secrets of the village but also to restore it to its former glory. The young Mineko will have to accomplish all her daily tasks in addition to accomplishing sometimes unusual quests. But above all, she will have to make unique objects for the night market which is held every week in the village. Activities that will be punctuated by exploration sessions on the vast island of Mount Fugu throughout the seasons.
