WASHINGTON, May 26 (Reuters) – U.S. household sentiment fell in May from April, less sharply than initially estimated, final results of the monthly survey showed on Friday. the University of Michigan.
Its confidence index fell to 59.2 after 63.5 in April. Economists and analysts polled by Reuters on average expected a figure of 57.7, as in the first estimate.
The component of consumers’ judgment of their current situation fell to 64.9, after 68.2 the previous month.
That of the outlook fell to 55.4 from 60.5.
