The synthetic business climate index in retail and automobiles in France stands at 98 points in October 2023, indicates a press release from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (INSEE) published at 8:45 a.m. Thus, boss morale deteriorated by 4.7 points over one month. As the index is slightly below its long-term average (100), the opinion of business leaders in the retail and automotive sectors on the economic situation is somewhat poor.
In September, the index was 102.7 points, down 2.3 points month-on-month.
