The Mortal Kombat movie will get a sequel, written by Jeremy Slater (Moon Knight)


Despite a simultaneous release on HBO Max and in theaters, the latest film mortal kombat obviously satisfied Warner Bros, enough to produce a sequel anyway. At least that’s what the very serious site Deadline tells us, which states that a sequel is in preparation, and that this new episode has already found someone who will write its script.

The sequel is already in the works

It is therefore Jeremy Slater who was poached to write the script for Mortal Kombat 2. It is unknown for the moment which characters will return in this sequel, just as it is not known if Simon McQuoid will return to direct.

Jeremy Slater is known for his work on The Umbrella Academy broadcast on Netflix, and will soon be featured in the series Moon Knight on Disney+ (a series from the Marvel Cinematic Universe), starring Oscar Isaac and Ethan Hawke. You have to believe that the fight with masked characters, everyone knows it.

No date for this Mortal Kombat 2but there is no doubt that we will hear more about it in the coming months.
