The Most Intriguing Sci-Fi Movie of 2024 Finally Has a Date on Prime Video

Prime Video announces the release date for “Foe”, a psychological science fiction film starring Paul Mescal and Saoirse Ronan.

It’s one of the most intriguing projects of 2024. Prime Video has just announced the release date for Foe, the new film from Garth Davis – director of Lion – with two of the most exciting actors of the moment: Paul Mescal and Saoirse Ronan.

Foe is a psychological science fiction film in which Paul Mescal and Saoirse Ronan form a couple, Junior and Hen, who live as recluses on an isolated farm. Their lives are disrupted by the arrival of a stranger, Terrance (Aaron Pierre), who makes them a proposition that will change their lives forever.

Junior was randomly chosen to go to a large experimental space station orbiting Earth for two years. The strangest thing? Arrangements have already been made so that when he leaves, Hen will not have the opportunity to miss him, because she will not be left alone, not even for a moment…

She will be in the company of a robot version of Junior, which really bothers him and causes conflict between him and Hen.

A pitch that is reminiscent of episode 3 of the last season of Black Mirror, “My Heart for Life”, with Aaron Paul and Josh Hartnett. Foe, Garth Davis’ third feature film, premiered at this year’s London Film Festival, but Prime Video subscribers will be able to watch it from January 5.

One more film for Paul Mescal, whose career continues to go from strength to strength. He will soon head the cast of Gladiator 2 alongside Pedro Pascal, Denzel Washington, Joseph Quinn, Connie Nielsen and Matt Lucas.
