The Redmi K range is rarely released in Europe under its original name. The latest Redmi K60 will a priori be no exception.

We announced it to you at the time of the release of the Redmi K60, smartphones relatively well equipped for their price, there was little chance that they would be released under this name in France. Today we learn a little more through the journalist Kacper Skrzypek of MIUI Polska.

In one tweet, he writes that part of the range will be taken over by the Poco sub-brand. In detail, the Redmi K60 should be released under the name Poco F5 Pro, the Redmi Note 12 Speed under the name Poco X5 Pro and the Redmi Note 12 would be, depending on the model, called Redmi Note 12 or Poco X5. It will still be practical to find your way around.

An impressive technical sheet for its price

The most seasoned of you will have noticed, the absence of a Poco F5 is noticeable. Too bad, because the Poco F3 and Poco F4 had rather convinced us in their time. To see if this translates into a price increase or not.

As a reminder, the Redmi K60, which should be called Poco F5 Pro, is equipped with a Snpdragon 8+ Gen 1, an Oled QHD+ screen, a massive 5500 mAh battery and 67W charging. A technical sheet which, if sold below 500 euros, should hurt a lot. Xiaomi is clearly going all-in on performance, even if it means relieving the photo department a bit. Indeed, the phone should not shine in this area with its three-module photo unit of 64, 8 and 2 megapixels. As a reminder, in China, the Redmi K60 is trading between 2499 yuan (338 euros excluding tax) and 3599 yuan (486 euros excluding tax).
