At the microphone of Isabelle Ithurburu, who recently succeeded Nikos Aliagas, the 57-year-old actress agreed to delve into her past, focusing on a traumatic moment from her childhood : the abandonment of his parents. A painful ordeal which nevertheless gave her this great freedom which flows in her veins today, as she confided to our colleagues: “This is the advantage of having been abandoned. I didn’t have parents who I wanted to please. I have been very alone, and the sadness of this solitude has as a corollary a freedom, a right to think and an originality of thought that I cherish every day.”

Manuel Herrero’s wife was therefore entrusted to his grandparents during his youth, an experience which allowed him to prepare to face the blows of life. “II grew up a bit wild. It gave me an incredible freedom to be myself, and a certain outspokenness”, she confided to Le Monde in 2017. And continued: “I wasn’t spoiled, because I lived with them every day, but let’s just say that they didn’t have the same dreams, the same projections, the same demands as parents do towards their children. There were no relational tensions either. They were old, I was little, we had to find a way to work together.”
Karin Viard found the strength to forgive
Abandoned by her parents at the age of 4Karin Viard, however, does not want to carry the weight of her trauma, as she explained to our colleagues on the front page: “As we get older, obviously, things [ces abandons, NDLR] take another perspective. I always thought that forgiving and understanding was more important to oneself than being angry.” A resilience that she welcomed with “more or less happiness”, she clarified before assuring: “But overall, I am quite reconciled. I want to approach my last hour with as much peace and as much joy as possible.”
