The MSI Spatium M480 Play 2TB internal SSD, compatible with the PlayStation 5, is available at Rue du Commerce. During his test, he had obtained our final 5 stars.
A few weeks ago, we published the test of the MSI Spatium M480 Play SSD with a capacity of 2 TB. Its first-class characteristics make it an ideal candidate to integrate a powerful PC or a PlayStation 5. This hardware, which does not was not yet available during its visit to our lab, is now on sale at all retailers.
The Spatium M480 Play differs from the classic M480 by the use of Micron’s 176-layer 3D NAND TLC chips, managed by the Phison E18 controller, and by a thinner heatsink in order to easily fit in the PlayStation 5. Two gigabytes of cache make it possible to maintain the announced speeds of 7 GB/s in reading and 6.8 GB/s in writing. Finally, the SSD has a five-year warranty, with an expected endurance of 1,400 TB.
During the test, we noted speeds of 7.3 GB / s in reading and 6.8 GB / s in writing, while maintaining a temperature below 70 ° C, at 67 ° C exactly.
Thus, the MSI Spatium M480 Play joins the circle of SSDs having obtained 5 stars, which includes the Corsair MP600 Pro LPX and the Seagate FireCuda 530, which we recommend to integrate the Sony PlayStation 5.
