What is the promo on this MSI gaming keyboard?
The MSI Vigor GK50 Low Profile is usually sold around 90 €. For the winter sales, it sees its price drop to €67.99 on Amazon.
Note that the keyboard offered here is the Low Profile version of the GK50. Unlike the photo of the product on Amazon, this keyboard does have a numeric keypad.
What is this Vigor GK50 keyboard from MSI?
The MSI Vigor GK50 keyboard has dimensions of 35.4 × 14 × 3.3 cm. It takes up little space on the desk and is rather discreet. It also doesn’t have an overly flashy gaming keyboard design when not lit. You can of course give it another look, with the customization of the RGB backlighting, via the MSI Center software. In terms of design and finishes, it is made of a plastic that may seem a little cheap at first glance, but an aluminum plate solidifies the whole thing and gives it a feeling of robustness. Non-slip pads are present under the keyboard, as well as adjustable feet. You can raise the Vigor GK50 by ten degrees.
MSI’s keyboard gets mechanical switches clicky. When activating the keys, the switches emit a small noise. Coupled with the hitting sensation of switches and their resistance, the feeling is very pleasant. The noise of the GK50 will of course not suit all users. MSI’s keyboard is clearly not among the quietest on the market. But this also turns out to be its strong point, for those who like to feel every support at their fingertips.
Is this MSI gaming keyboard on sale a good deal?
At less than €70, it’s an excellent deal. This keyboard model is dedicated to video games and has anti-ghosting and N-Key rollover. These technologies are present to prevent errors in the event of keystrokes on several keys simultaneously. You can adjust and configure your keyboard with the dedicated Dragon Center software. The lighting of the keys therefore, but also the macros and the shortcuts.
The GK50 has an almost 2m braided USB-C cable. The latter is detachable, which facilitates transport and reduces the risk of wear. Finally, note that MSI provides with its keyboard a transport pouch as well as a clip to remove the keys.
