The new Disney+ features for October 2023 have been officially announced by the service. It’s very heavy, especially for fans of Marvel and the MCU.
It’s almost the season of pumpkins, thrills, and scares with the children who will come knocking on your door to steal your candy. And maybe even your schokobons, so be very careful. Before the Halloween party comes around, it’s time to see what SVOD platforms like Netflix or Disney+ have planned for the month of October 2023.
The Mickey firm has planned several short films on iconic Walt Disney characters, horror programs for all ages, and the return of highly anticipated series. As is very often the case, the company is also capitalizing on the house of superheroes with a relatively recent major Marvel film which is precisely directed by a filmmaker skilled in thrilling spectators. The new Disney+ releases for October 2023
Some of the new Disney+ features for October 2023 were already known, but fortunately there are a few surprises. Notice to MCU fans: Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, released in 2022, will make its debut in the middle of the month on the video streaming platform. A very ordinary film… except for the direction since Sam Raimi hides behind the camera. The director of the Evil Dead trilogy, the jubilant All the Way to Hell and the Spider-Man feature films with Tobey Maguire. A Marvel with the Raimi touch, like his aerial views that he loves more than anything, and references to his previous work.
In the horror genre, the short film Werewolf By Night from Marvel Studios returns in a brand new version. The content will be identical to what you saw last year on Disney+, but it will now be in color. Will the absence of the charm of black & white, rarely used these days, be felt? To avoid deviating from this horror theme, know that the Goosebumps series also has the right to a reboot starting next week. The concept has not changed since the 90s and the stories told will be independent of each other.
One of the biggest Disney+ releases of October 2023 will be season 2 of Loki. A direct sequel which will deal even more with the multiverse, and where the God of Mischief will have to restore the balance by crossing paths with a famous Marvel villain who will have a very important place in the next Avengers. The superhero team which will also be in the spotlight with a special animated episode, probably lasting around thirty minutes, in collaboration with LEGO. Season 11 of a popular series, a documentary on a legendary rapper, or even a very popular anime will also punctuate the new Disney+ additions for October 2023.

Disney+ programs for October 2023 not to be missed
The Disney+ line-up for October 2023 includes different programs for children in the run-up to Day of the Dead. We can cite for example The Paloni Family presents Halloween, Zombies 3 or even The Secret of the Mummy 2. But the SVOD platform has also secured the rights to Tokyo Revengers season 2 part 2 which is a huge success. In five days, the opening credits of these new episodes have received more than 3 million views on YouTube. Season 11 of American Horror Story, broadcast in 2022, is also in this month’s major news. Expect gruesome murders.
A nice surprise was revealed in the new Disney+ releases for US rap fans. Dear Mama, a five-part documentary series about the legendary 2Pac and his mother Afeni Shakur, will be available on October 4, 2023. A program that has been acclaimed by the press and spectators. A must-have obviously for aficionados of the interpreter of the legendary song “California Love” with the other legend Dr Dre.
Darren Aronofsky, the atypical filmmaker of Black Swan, Requiem for a Dream or Pi, will present One Strange Rock, a documentary with Will Smith. “A planet like no other reveals the magical twists of fate that allowed life to thrive only on Earth. It’s an extraordinary story brought into perspective by the only people who left it behind: the astronauts.”. Finally, Disney+ will also celebrate its heroes through the short film “Once upon a time a studio” which mixes hand drawing and digital images.
