the new free game is here, it’s a little marvel

GOG, CD Projekt Red’s well-known store, offers us yet another new game completely free. A great opportunity to expand your library and have a good time.

At the end of September, why not get a free game on the GOG platform? With the Epic Games Store, these are the two platforms that frequently offer great gems for PC. However, you will have to act quickly because this offer is limited in time.

A free GOG game that should please many

Today’s surprise is The Night of the Rabbit. Under this title is a point-and-click adventure game developed and published by Daedalic Entertainment. Released in 2013, this game is available on several platforms, including Windows and macOS. Its plot clearly evokes the air of Alice in Wonderland. Indeed, the story tells the adventures of a young boy named Jeremiah Hazelnut, nicknamed Jerry, who dreams of becoming a magician. During the last two days of his summer vacation, he crosses paths with the mysterious Marquis de Hoto. A wizard rabbit who offers to become his apprentice. Immersed in a magical universe filled with creatures and enigmas, Jerry embarks on a quest to unravel its mysteries and master magic. On the verge of falling into a hole like young Alice.

One of the game’s major assets is undoubtedly its hand-drawn graphics. Each scene is rich in detail and color, creating a dreamlike atmosphere in harmony with the magical ambiance of the game. In a similar graphic vein, we remember the sublime The Pillars of the Earth, which was also a point-and-click hand drawn. It was also developed by Daedalic Entertainment.

A good moment

True to the tradition of the genre, players interact with different objects and characters, solve puzzles and progress through the plot by following clues. The game also focuses on exploration: each element or character can be essential to progression, thus encouraging players to explore every corner of the universe. In short, it’s a beautiful nugget that should delight lovers of peaceful adventures.

At the time, the game garnered a nice 75% rating on Metacritic, with a community review of 7.6. A good rating which is reinforced by the very positive reviews on Steam. It’s hard to go wrong here, especially since it’s free.
