The new Garmin sports connected watch, which lights up in the dark, promises infinite autonomy


Garmin Instinct watches are built to withstand the outdoor elements and the most power-hungry users. You won’t find screens with flashy colors on these watches, but rather utility functions that allow comprehensive health and wellness tracking for virtually any activity.

The new Instinct series watch offers a classic analog watch experience with the excellence in 24/7 health and activity tracking you expect from a Garmin smartwatch. From the photos, the Super-LumiNova-coated analog hands and chapter ring look amazing, but we’ll have to see how they perform in low-light conditions.

There’s a lot to be said for the endurance of the latest Garmin. The Instinct Crossover is built to pass MIL-STD-810 standards with 10ATM water resistance, the solar powered model has infinite battery life in battery saver mode and up to 70 days of battery life in smartwatch mode, and Garmin’s new RevoDrive analog hands technology is designed to ensure accurate time in almost any weather condition. Generally speaking, battery life is something you won’t have to worry about with the Instinct Crossover.

As with other Garmin hybrid watches, the analog hands move apart to allow you to view detailed smart function data. Speaking of which, the Instinct Crossover supports Garmin’s full suite of wellness features, including sleep stages, body battery, and stress tracking. Health features like VO2 Max, fitness age, HRV status and recovery time are also supported, along with standard features like Garmin Pay and Garmin Connect.

For those exploring new places, multi-GNSS support, TracBack routing, ABC sensors, and more. are provided. If you opt for the more expensive Tactical Edition, the watch comes with night vision compatibility, dual-format GPS, and a power switch.

Garmin Instinct Crossover. The solar model is offered at only 50 euros more, or 549.99 euros, while the Tactical Edition solar model is offered at 599.99 euros. There are two color options for the standard and solar models, while the tactical edition is only available in black.
