After a first announcement for the United States at CES, the Anker brand is launching its new MagGo range compatible with Qi 2.0 in Europe and France at MWC 2024.
Our smartphones now evolve relatively little: they are efficient, updated for several years, with quality cameras. However, there is one sector that has seen developments in recent years: recharging. The move to USB-C has made it possible to increase the charging speed of our smartphones from generation to generation. Wireless charging is also improving with Qi 2.0.
At MWC 2024, the Anker brand, market leader when it comes to chargers purchased commercially, unveils its MagGo range for Europe and France, in particular.
Apple MagSafe for everyone
As a reminder, Qi 2.0 is a standardization of Apple’s MagSafe technology. In other words, magnets are integrated into the smartphone and the charger to correctly align the wireless induction charging coil and maximize efficiency. Enough to offer wireless charging up to 15W with compatible chargers and smartphones. The problem at the moment is that only iPhones are compatible with this new generation of wireless charging, since it uses MagSafe. We will still have to wait to see smartphone manufacturers adopt it.
In the meantime, the chargers are arriving and it was Anker who was able to present several of them to us. We especially remember the 10,000 mAh portable battery with a small kickstand and a screen allowing you to display the remaining capacity live. The product is well finished. Marketing in France should begin today from 89.99 euros. The brand has a whole range of products starting from 29.99 euros, for the simple charger, and up to 109.99 euros for a high-end charger capable of charging an iPhone, AirPods and an Apple Watch at the same time.
