The Performance version of the new Tesla Model 3 is now a reality. Indeed, the manufacturer has just confirmed its launch in France this Tuesday, April 23, 2024. Price, technical characteristics, improvements made, we take stock of this new version of the electric sedan.
It is now a reality. On this Tuesday, April 23, 2024, Tesla has just officially launched the Performance version of its new Model 3 launched in November 2023, the famous Project Highland.
As the first rumors about it suggested, we are in front of a power monster labeled Performance, and not Ludicrous. So, This Model 3 immediately stands out as the most powerful and dynamic in the range. The numbers speak for themselves. Thanks to the new engine developed for this version, the Model 3 Performance 2024 displays a total power of 460 horsepower. According to the manufacturer, the sports sedan is capable of reaching 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.1 seconds. Concerning the top speed, it climbs to 262 km/h!
A Model 3 Performance dedicated to sporty driving
Of course, many modifications had to be made to achieve this performance. The manufacturer has, for example, worked to strengthen the aerodynamics of the vehicle, notably by integrating front and rear fascias, a rear diffuser and a carbon fiber spoiler. These elements made it possible to further reduce the drag coefficient, already particularly low on the Model 3 Highland.
The muscular sedan also features a new Performance chassis equipped with springs, shock absorbers, bushings, stabilizer bars developed for high-speed driving. And as previous rumors confirmed, an adaptive damping system is indeed in the game so that the car “stays glued to the road and tackles corners with confidence at any speed”.
In the rest of the exclusive additions to this Performance variant, we note the integration of 20″ forged rims with offset fitment to offer a better angle in turns, but also powerful red caliper brakes. Still happy, you have to be able to stop this 1851 kg beast as quickly as possible, right?
Regarding the range of action, this Model 3 Performance 2024 displays 528 km of autonomy in WLTP mixed cycle. Casually, it’s a little less than the previous model which offered 547 km. As for recharging, we remain on the same characteristics as the Model 3 Long Autonomy AWD, namely fast charging up to 250 kW and up to 228 additional km in just 15 minutes.
Carbon finishes and sports seats
Unsurprisingly, this Model 3 Performance also benefits from some welcome improvements in the cabin. For example, she suggests Sports seats at the front with ergonomic cushions. They are also ventilated and heated to provide optimal comfort. Then, the interior stands out by its carbon fiber finishes and its new exclusive weaving pattern. If you want to bring passengers in your electric car, this Model 3 Performance also offers in the rear two stacked 8″ infotainment screens. As for the audio part, it is provided by 17 speakers, two subwoofers and two amplifiers.
Now let’s come to the release date and price. First of all, know that this Tesla Model 3 Performance is already available on the French configurator of the manufacturer. What about the price? This Model 3 Performance is displayed from €55,990, or €2,000 more than the previous Performance variant. For first time buyers, deliveries are planned between May and June 2024.
