The new restyled Tesla Model 3 Highland is already in France

Mentioned for several months and already seen on the roads, the restyled Tesla Model 3, also known as the Highland, is still waiting. The electric sedan was recently seen at a Superchargeurs station in France, confirming its imminent arrival.

Say that the Restyled Tesla Model 3 (Highland) is long overdue is an understatement. Indeed, it’s already been a while since she’s been talking about her since at the end of last year, we were already talking about her upcoming arrival.

Already with us

However, during his Investor Day organized on March 1, Elon Musk did not say a word about the electric sedan, or even about his also highly anticipated Model 2. Inevitably, the disappointment was there. But since then, many clues seem to indicate that the manufacturer will soon to lift the veil on this new versionknown as Highland.

At the end of July, production of the Model 3 had been put on hold, which had revived rumors of the imminent arrival of the new version. According to the latest information, it should just see the light of day during the month of September, while the manufacture of the current version would be stopped in August. But nothing has been confirmed about it yet.

But the sedan is indeed in preparation, as confirmed by the many photos and videos showing it on the roads. After being seen on the German Autobahn, the rival sedan of the Nio ET5 and other Volkswagen ID.7 can now be seen on French roads. Anyway, that’s what you think two videos posted on X (formerly Twitter) by internet user Didier du Choucroute Garage.

The latter relays images that were sent to him, showing the sedan still heavily camouflaged taking a break at the Superchargeur station located in Boé, in Lot-et-Garonne. The opportunity to be able to better glimpse its design and its overall size, despite the many hidden details.

Imminent revelation?

The sedan is distinguished in particular by all new optics, confirming the words of another Internet user evoking the arrival of lights ” similar to those of a Porsche Macan“. Unfortunately, it is still difficult to glimpse the details of the design of this new restyled version, which should retain a silhouette identical to the current one. The dimensions seem to remain essentially the same.

If the rear is still hidden, it seems that it does not change overall compared to the Model 3 currently on the market. Still no tailgate in sight therefore, which should disappoint some who were hoping for this novelty. We will have to wait a little longer before seeing if the rear lights have been redesigned or not on this new version.

What about inside? For the moment, the latter is not yet visible, it should remain globally the same as the one we currently know with its large 15 inch touch screen. Under its hood, this new Tesla Model 3 Highland would be equipped with new lithium-ion phosphate batteries with a capacity of 66 kWh offering a range increase of 10% for the Propulsion version. It remains to be seen whether the 4680 cells will also be on the program, which would be quite probable.

Corridor rumors claim that this new version will officially be revealed at the IAA in Munich, which will open its doors to the public on September 5. It should display a price around 25,500 euros in China, which is unlikely to increase too much when it arrives in Europe. Some rumors even predict a price drop. She will thus still be eligible for the ecological bonus of 5,000 euros.

Should we take the opportunity to buy the current discounted version? Our colleagues from Numerama have a clear-cut opinion on the matter.
