The free games season has started. Like every year now, the Epic Games Store offers its own advent calendar. We know the concept, every day a new mystery gift is offered. Hostilities began with Destiny 2 Legacy Collection, bringing together three major free-to-play expansions, before continuing with a battle game that is pretty as anything but which lacks balancing, especially in competitive, and follow-up. While the third free Christmas EGS game will arrive this afternoon, its identity and that of the next one have been revealed in advance.
The third free Epic Games Store Christmas game already known
The EGS breaks its usual routine. Where it gets us used to a weekly gift, the store will still delight players until the start of next year. Until January 11, 2024, the creators of Fortnite will offer a total of 17 free games on the Epic Games Store. A pack including three important Destiny 2 DLCs got the ball rolling, then DNF Duel took over. The cute fighting game, but with fairly poor content and follow-up, is still available until this afternoon, still at 5 p.m. sharp, after which it will be replaced by the third gift of the Advent calendar. But what will be the title offered? This year, it’s difficult to make predictions. In previous editions, the free Epic Games Store Christmas games could more or less easily be guessed thanks to the patterns present on images representing the gift wrappings, serving as a teaser.
This is no longer the case. A rumor then suggested that it would be Art of Rally, the indie racing game that caused a sensation. However, it seems that this is not the case. A RuneScape-inspired RPG that reduces adventure game elements to their purest form. On the program are around twenty skills to master, melee and ranged combat against a hundred monsters and much more. A small independent production whose name will not necessarily speak to everyone, but which has more than 10,000 very positive evaluations on the competing platform.
When will it be available?
A little nugget of its kind, but you will have to wait until December 21 at 5:00 p.m. to find out if it will be him who will be offered or not. As a reminder, this third free Advent Calendar game will be available until December 22 at the same time, after which it will be replaced by a new gift. Still according to the same source and with the same percentage of probability, the fourth gift would be Snakebird Completea remaster of two games (Snakebird and Snakebird Primer) only available on Switch for now.
