the next game is going to be crazy

If you fancy a new dose of Cyberpunk 2077 know that something very big is coming. It’s going to be huge for fans of the franchise (and even others).

If the dystopian universe of Cyberpunk 2077 you’re missing then know you’re going to get your money’s worth in years to come with a double dose of sci-fi. Because in addition to the highly anticipated Phantom Libertyhuge DLC that should normally arrive this year, something very big is brewing at CD Projekt RED on the new game side.

Cyberpunk 2077: the next game is revealed (a little)

While the extension Phantom Liberty of Cyberpunk 2077 is not even available yet, CD Projekt RED teams are hard at work on the next upcoming game which is to be a direct sequel. And according to a report from Spanish game store Vandal, the studio is starting to push things in-house with increasingly active development. Currently known as Project Orion, it would be developed in the United States with a team of “350 to 500 developers” while the Polish team would help in certain specific areas of which we have no precision or details. In fact the team of developers currently working on Phantom Liberty will focus exclusively on the next game once its work is complete. Even if part of the wage bill should also be distributed over The Witcher. This work should reach a fundamental stage in terms of development in 2024 with the implementation of everything related to the study and research work for the project.

Very heavy to come at CD Projekt

CD Projekt had also declared some time ago the same window for the development of its projects. In addition to the sequel to Cyberpunk 2077 and DLC Phantom Libertythe team is also preparing The Witcher 4the remake of The Witcher 1 and… Project Hader. A brand new license of which we know absolutely nothing at the moment. Despite the rather chaotic launch of cyberpunk we must admit that everything is back to normal fairly quickly and that the game is now a great success (except on old-gen console). Proof of this is the relentless development of the new DLC which promises to be huge in terms of content (more than Blood and Wine for TW3) namely many hours of play and a brand new specific scenario. Not bad is not it ?

From your side, what do you expect about a new game on the franchise? In addition to a more successful launch…
