The knight and his squire

A Knight of the Seven Kingdoms: The Hedge Knight will tell the adventures of Ser Duncan the Great, aka Dunk, a courageous but inexperienced knight, and his young squire Egg, or rather Aegon Targaryen fifth of the name.

This is the actor Peter Claffey (Bad Sisters, Vikings: Valhalla) who will slip into Ser Duncan’s armor, while the young Dexter Sol Ansell (Hunger Games: The Ballad of the Serpent and the Songbird) will play Egg.

Dunk and Egg will travel through Westeros at a time when dragons are still numerous and the Targaryens rule the continent. Their improbable duo will thus encounter great destinies, formidable adversaries and overcome daring exploits.

The series is another prequel to Games of Throneswhich takes place approximately 72 years after the events of House of the Dragon, and a hundred years before the battle for the Iron Throne depicted in the parent series. Like the rest of the franchise, the show is based on a book by George RR Martin, in this case The Knight Errantfirst volume of the cycle of novels Tales of Dunk & Egg.

As a reminder, other series derived from Game Of Thrones are currently in preparation, including a spin-off project on Aegon the Conqueror written by Mattson Tomlin (The Batman).

While waiting to discover the adventures of Dunk and Egg, season 2 ofHouse of the Dragon arrives on our screens on June 17 and will certainly be broadcast in France on Max, a new SVOD service whose launch will take place before the start of the Olympic Games.
