the next games are showing, it’s absolutely superb!

Tomb Raider returns soon with the first three games in the franchise in completely revamped versions. THE studio mixes old school and modernity, and it’s really cool!

Lara Croft is soon coming back to show off and do some antics on consoles and PC. Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered arrives next month and will give a new lease of life to the first adventures of the beautiful Englishwoman. Although it didn’t really show itself in detail, the compilation offered us a few screenshots that speak for themselves: the graphics have completely changed.

The first three games look better than ever

Tomb Raider 1-3 Remastered will be available on February 14 on PS5, Xbox Series, PC, Switch but also on PS4 and Xbox One. In addition to the three full games, the DLC for each episode, released on PC at the time, will also be available. A first on consoles. On Xbox, Steam and PlayStation, achievements and trophies will also be included for each game. The Aspyr studio also claims that some undisclosed surprises await us. We will see.

But what is obviously most striking in this collection is the work on the graphics. The first three Tomb Raider released in 96, 97 and 98 respectively underwent a complete overhaul. Lara’s model has been completely redesigned while the enemies have all been given a big polish. Same thing for the environments elsewhere which, if they keep their very old school cubic appearance (a desire of the studio), all have the right to new textures. The backgrounds, such as the sky or the horizon, have changed. The black fog of the time has disappeared, as there are no longer any technical limitations, and the lighting effects have been completely recreated. If the games are intact, the atmosphere is likely to be drastically different. We’ll let you judge for yourself with the few visuals below.
