The Nintendo Switch 2 could well amaze you

Information is pouring out about the Nintendo Switch 2. Although to be taken with a pinch of salt, it gives us an idea of what Big N’s new machine would have in store for us.

Between its potential catalog and its technical performance, Nintendo’s next console is already causing a lot of talk. It must be said that the one we call “ Nintendo Switch 2 », while waiting for its official name to be revealed, is particularly awaited, the current Switch having reached its limits.

We already know that Nintendo plans to announce this future machine during the current fiscal year. It is therefore well on the way to becoming a reality. Rumors are constantly growing about the equipment she is carrying. And, in fact, new information would teach us even more about its abilities, apparently more powerful than we might believe…

The Nintendo Switch Oled is an improved version of the standard Switch. But, it does not offer better performance.

The “Nintendo Switch 2” as efficient as the competition?

The experts at Digital Foundry apparently have new information – which they remind is perfectly public if you want to look for it – about the next console of Nintendo. Once again, it seems that the manufacturer is really going for a new iteration which would take the foundations established by the current Switch to offer a more powerful and optimized version, if not going for something completely new.

As has been mentioned for several months, Digital Foundry suggests that this “Switch 2” would benefit from better performance. This time, the media mentions 12 GB LPDDR5X RAM, triple that of the original Switch from 2017. But, the most interesting thing here is that this would raise the Switch to the level of a Xbox Series S and its 10 GB of RAM.

This will make it possible to overcome the NVIDIA DLSS, which requires a lot of RAM. Therefore, experts believe that the output resolution would be much better. In particular, this would be a considerable visual gain for playing on the television, in docked mode. Are we on the verge of a reorganization of the console market, divided between large machines (PS5 and Xbox Series) and slightly less efficient consoles (Xbox Series S and Nintendo Switch)?
