Nintendo Switch players are making more and more compromises. If it is generally accepted to ignore graphics performance, the demo version of a game that is highly anticipated even allows itself to make concessions on parts of the storyline!
The excluded
While the beta ofInazuma Eleven: Victory Road continues to break records, reaching over 1 million downloads today, by being currently only available on Nintendo Switch, its fans feel betrayed. In fact, it is on the occasion of a post on the official Level-5 blogthat Akihiro Hino – the director of the studio – speaks about the recent addition of the story within the beta of the title.
He then explains that the first chapter available, is actually only a small part of what will be present in the full game. After that, he indicates that he does not want to deprive himself of adding additional pieces of the story in the beta in the future, but warns players: this will undoubtedly be reserved for versions planned for other platforms in the future. His explanation for such a choice: “The trial version on Nintendo Switch cannot be rewritten in the future, but I plan to add content to the beta trial version for other devices”.

Inequality and seniority
In response to this, various Internet users, notably certain important players in the French Inazuma Eleven scene, noted the information, highlighting the inequality of such a practice. No response or comment from Level-5 who must, undoubtedly, not even be aware of the outcry from Switch players. But this announcement still confirms one thing: the beta is indeed still relevant for other hardware.
So it is said that on the Switch version there will be no more updates but that on other supports they will perhaps go a little further!

In his post, Akihiro Hino also discusses different aspects of the game’s development, originally explaining not having wanted to bring back old characters within the main story. He then admits to having gone back on his words, here taking the example of a character from Cybertech college, explaining that “Since 25 years have passed since their appearance, I wanted to write more about some of the characters who will return in this opus, but to develop them more as secondary characters, not to make them play football again”, referring here to Neil Turner, former player turned coach. Although apparently shortened, the beta of ”Inazuma Eleven: Victory Road” is still available on Nintendo Switch.
