Following The Office co-created by Greg Daniels (writer behind the US version of this cult series) and Michael Koman (Girls5eva) recruited its first two actors. Domhnall Gleeson and Sabrina Impacciatore will be part of an ensemble cast for this new comedy currently in development at Universal Television.

Two new employees

We learned last January that Daniels was diving back into The Office and began to develop a new show which will neither be a reboot nor a remake of the series with Steve Carell but will take place in the same universe.

There where The Office followed, in the form of a mockumentary, the daily life of the employees of the Dunder Mifflin company, this “sequel” which has not yet obtained the green light from the studio should have the same format but focus on a different subject , with new characters.

To bring all this to life, two actors have already been selected to play roles that are still kept secret. Domhnall Gleeson is an Irish actor seen in the cinema in franchises Harry Potter And Star Warsand recently seen in the series White House Plumbers on HBO (available in France via the Prime Video Warner Pass).

For her part, Sabrina Impacciatore is an Italian actress and was also seen on HBO in season 2 of The White Lotus. She was also nominated for an Emmy Award for her role in the series.

The American adaptation of The Office, based on the British comedy of the same name imagined by Ricky Gervais and Stephen Merchant, ended in 2013 after nine seasons. We do not yet know who will broadcast his sequel if it actually sees the light of day, because Daniels wants to perfect the project before approaching a channel or streaming platform.

While waiting to know more, the complete The Office can be rediscovered on the Netflix and Prime Video streaming platforms.
