"The Old Guard" is one of the most watched Netflix films after just two weeks. Charlize Theron is already talking about a sequel.
Charlize Theron (44, "Bombshell") holds out the prospect of a possible sequel to the recent film "The Old Guard" released on Netflix. The Oscar winner from 2004 told the industry portal "Variety": "Let's have a little rest. But considering that we all would really like to do it, I'm sure that we will talk about it at the right time."
Theron shares her pride online
The film adaptation of the comic of the same name "The Old Guard" has been available on Netflix since July 10, 2020 and, according to Netflix 'own estimates, will reach 72 million households in the first four weeks. "This is crazy," Theron judges the high numbers. However, she insists that these estimates didn't matter to her: "No, I'm not that brave. I don't want to hear any predictions."
Theron still shared her joy about the success on Instagram. The post shows a picture from the film "The Old Guard", above and below it reads: "'The Old Guard' breaks records!
