The OnePlus Ace is revealed in image before its launch

OnePlus has just announced that the official presentation of its OnePlus Ace will take place on April 21 in China. This name may remind you of something, Oppo having already released a model called Reno Ace in the past. The two brands of the BBK Electronics consortium therefore continue to display many similarities.

The firm takes the opportunity to share some pictures of the device on the Chinese social network Weibo. It should be released as the OnePlus 10R on April 28 in India.

The photos show a smartphone with an angular design, which sports a large rectangular photo island. On the back, the left part of the mobile is covered with rather elegant lines, which give it relief. The set is reminiscent of the Realme GT Neo 3, presented at the end of last March (a brand also under the bosom of BBK). We find in particular the same arrangement, in triangle, at the level of the photo sensors.

Rumors surrounding the technical sheet also seem to confirm the resemblance to Realme’s smartphone. The OnePlus Ace could indeed have a 6.7-inch Full HD + Amoled screen offering a refresh rate of 120 Hz. It would logically house a fingerprint sensor.

According to the data seen on Geekbench, we would find inside a MediaTek Dimensity 8100 chip coupled with 8/12 GB of LPDDR5 RAM and 128/256 GB of UFS 3.1 storage. A SoC engraved in 5 nm which should ensure a smooth experience in multitasking and good performance in video games. Everything would run well on Android 12.

The photo configuration remains mysterious, but the wide-angle could be associated with an IMX766 from Sony. A high-end sensor which is definitely very successful, and which can now be found on more affordable devices such as the Realme 9 Pro+.

Autonomy should be ensured by a 4500 mAh battery compatible with fast charging at 150 W. A feature already present on… the GT Neo 3. We were able to try this technology during the last MWC, and find that it allowed recover about 50% battery in five minutes.

So there are only a few days left to wait to discover the smartphone in detail. If this model is, for the moment, not intended for the French market, it could still arrive here under another name.
