OnePlus’ first touchscreen tablet, presented in early February, has been long overdue since then. She showed up at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona, promising a release in April, without further details. A foray into the brand’s website, however, allows us to learn a little more, OnePlus has just set up a pre-order system, or rather a deposit. The price of the tablet, says the manufacturer, will be revealed on April 25, and the device will be available on April 28.

The OnePlus Pad will be accompanied by several optional accessories, including a stylus (OnePlus Stylo) and a keyboard, the Magnetic Keyboard. It is the latter which is linked in priority to this deposit system, allowing those who today pay €99 to “reserve” a tablet to obtain it free of charge (value of €149), unless they don’t opt for a stylus or a protective shell. Buyers choosing to pay the rest of the amount of the tablet between April 25 and 28 will also be offered an 80 W SuperVooc charger (value of €39). Suffice to say that almost all the optional accessories accompanying the Pad are offered, and that this is a way for the brand, it seems, to estimate quite clearly the stocks of units to be expected before its official release…

If its price remains shrouded in mystery, the characteristics of the OnePlus Pad are now official. Equipped with an 11.61-inch LCD screen (2800 x 2000 pixels, 144 Hz refresh rate), it is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9000 chip accompanied by 8 GB of RAM and 128 GB of storage. Its weight is limited to 552 g despite the integration of a 9510 mAh battery compatible with 67 W charging. Given its characteristics, we can expect a price between 400 and 500 €, either little or Prou the one we expect for its twin, the Oppo Pad 2.
