Disney+ films from April 1 to 7, 2024 (S14)

After the series X-Men 92 & 97, Sand Land, Extraordinary season 2 or the new episodes of Welcome to Wrexham, what are the first new Disney+ releases for April 2024? For feature films, it will still be quickly seen since there is only one film for the week of April 1 to 7, 2024. It is a production by Shawn Levy, behind one of the upcoming Marvel Deadpool 3… with Ryan Reynolds in the main role: Free Guy. An action comedy where Reynolds plays a bank employee with a very strict routine, Guy, who will eventually realize that he is in fact just an NPC in a huge open-world video game at the GTA. Without being a must-see, Free Guy enjoys a fairly good reputation and can be watched thanks to Ryan Reynolds and Jodie Comer. Watch on Disney+ from April 5.

Disney+ series from April 1 to 7, 2024 (S14)

Free Guy is the sole ambassador for Disney+ films from April 2024, but it’s more eventful for the series. And it’s timely because one of the highlights of the month concerns an animated show, Iwájú. A project which deals with the initiatory story of two best friends, Tola and Kole, and which is the result of a collaboration with the Kugali company. The director of the series, Olufikayo Adeola, wanted to show a futuristic vision of Lagos – in Nigeria – and in particular the importance of the Ajegunle market which actually exists.

“From my point of view, one of the most interesting things about the city is its markets and its surrounding chaos. Tola is obsessed with what is happening in the working-class neighborhood on the opposite bank; so a place was needed that justified this fascination. It was the ideal starting point for our heroine’s initiatory journey” explained the director (via press release). It will be April 3 on Disney+. The Fable and No Longer Rangers are Japanese anime.

The April 2024 Disney+ additions also include the reality show Vanderpump Villa. After having distinguished herself in The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, Lisa Vanderpump stands on her own two feet for the show La Villa Vanderpump. A program where men and women will have to serve prestigious guests in a huge French residence. “It’s not just a hotel. It’s an experience “ promises the latest trailer released by Disney+. For this new feature, no need to wait since you can watch it since April 1st.
