The video streaming platform
should arrive by the end of 2022 and be offered in the Cine Series pack of Canal+
.

Canal+ continues to enrich its commercial offers and has just struck a blow with this announcement.

Canal+ pursues its SVOD platform aggregator strategy

It was in a tweet that Maxime Saada, chairman of the executive board of the Canal+ group, revealed that the company had just concluded a broadcasting agreement with the Paramount+ platform. This deal looks exactly like the one previously concluded with Disney, a few weeks before the launch of Disney+ in France.

Canal subscribers benefiting from the Cine Series pack should thus have access to the SVOD platform as soon as it is launched in France, scheduled for the end of the year via the dedicated application or from MyCanal, which will also offer access to the all the content from its home page and its various thematic sections.

It will obviously not be compulsory to go through Canal+ to access Paramount+, which will also be available in OTT with a subscription formula, the amount of which has not yet been communicated by the Hollywood studio.

New exclusive content for a plethoric offer

Paramount + will offer its share of exclusive content from the platform, such as the future series adapted from the video game Halo
, a series centered on the character of Knuckles well known to Sonic fans or The Offerderived from the trilogy The Godfather among other titles. These programs will be offered in France as soon as they are made available globally.

Canal+ will benefit from Paramount films six months after their theatrical release like the next ones Impossible mission 7 and 8, or Sonic 2 the moviea shorter deadline made possible by the new media chronology adopted a few weeks ago by players in the French audio-visual industry.

Subscribers to Canal+ Cine Series will eventually benefit from access to Netflix, Disney+, StarzPlay and OCS (which includes Sony Pictures films including the giga-cardboard Spider-Man: No Way Home
) in addition to Paramount content, which will make this offer the most complete on the French market.
