The Paris CCI will implement several actions to facilitate the reception and recruitment of Ukrainian refugees

The challenge is to connect Parisian companies with refugees who have recently arrived in France.

Initiatives in favor of the reception and integration of Ukrainian refugees have multiplied in recent days. As an extension of the actions already initiated by the city of Paris, the Chamber of Commerce and Industry of Paris is in turn proposing an action plan to facilitate the recruitment of these refugees within Parisian companies. The goal, to connect the companies of the club of the CCI of Paris, “Companies are committed», with Ukrainians who fled the war. For this, the institution will offer job dating, workshops and information meetings, which it would like to set up before the summer.

Aid for the integration of refugees was already part of the action plan of the Paris club of the CCI, but it is now a priority. “Faced with the distress of Ukrainian refugees, it is our responsibility to propose means of integration through work for these victim populations, by mobilizing all our Parisian companies“, said the president of the CCI 75, Soumia Malinbaum in a press release. The CCI 75 has therefore called on the 250 Parisian companies of its Paris club – those companies that wish to act in favor of inclusion through employment and recruit differently – to participate in this recruitment process.

To connect supply and demand, the Chamber first relies on job dating, these quick job interviews during which candidates and recruiters discuss a job offer and the skills sought. Face-to-face workshops must also be organized to allow moments of exchange as well as presentations of professions. The challenge is also to target entrepreneurs to offer them a project and make them aware of inclusion. The larger the network, the greater the chances of being able to offer an integration solution to these refugees.

To relay the message and inform new arrivals of the existence of this programme, the CCI 75 therefore calls on the various refugee associations present in Ile-de-France. The institution is also in close collaboration with Singa, a French association specializing in the integration of refugees and migrants. The reputation of the association makes it possible to convey a broader message and to make the program known at the regional level. The Paris CCI is counting on the month of April to establish a first report on the progress of the project, with the aim of proposing a course before the end of the first half of 2022.
