The Paris Stock Exchange rose by 0.38% on Wednesday, in the wake of two sessions of clear progress, still under a burst fed by company results, on the eve of the meeting of the European Central Bank.

The star CAC 40 index rose 24.11 points to 6,275.66 points around 10:25 a.m. Tuesday, it had taken 1.94%, to finish at its highest for more than a month.

There is a “return of risk appetite”, notes Sebastian Paris-Horvitz, director of research at Banque Postale AM, “while government bonds see their yield drop slightly”.

The 10-year French loan, the term that refers, fell to 2.67% far from the peak of 3.09% on Friday.

This dynamic “is based on the hope of a rapid change in monetary policy”, continues the analyst.

Investors have their sights set on the next meeting of the European Central Bank (ECB), which is expected to raise interest rates again on Thursday, as will the US Federal Reserve (Fed) in early November.

The markets nevertheless hope that the Fed will be a little less heavy-handed and will raise its rates a little less than in previous meetings.

Orpea plunges again, wants to renegotiate its debt

The action of Orpea plunged by more than 30% on the Paris Stock Exchange, after announcing the opening of a new amicable conciliation procedure before the Commercial Court of Nanterre to renegotiate its debt with its creditors.

The action fell 32.61% to 9.91 euros after losing up to 40%. Since the beginning of the year, the valuation of the company, in turmoil with the release in January of a book-investigation denouncing its practices, has melted by nearly 90%.

Thales takes shelter

The group saw its turnover increase by 13.7% in the third quarter, driven by a jump in its activities related to identity and digital security and a favorable exchange rate effect, the defense group announced on Wednesday. and technologies.

If Thales does not revise upwards its forecast for organic growth in turnover, the group now estimates that it will be “at the top of the range”. The action took 2.63% to 124.80 euros.

Dassault Systèmes confirms its objectives

Dassault Systèmes (-3.20% to 35.50 euros), the French champion of 3D software for companies, saw its net profit jump 20% in the third quarter to 214.5 million euros and confirmed its objectives annual, according to a press release Wednesday.
