“The Passion” returns to RTL in 2024. The private broadcaster dared to experiment in 2022 and staged the passion story as a huge live music event in Essen with Alexander Klaws in the role of Jesus. In 2024 the same thing will be done in Kassel, but with a completely new cast. You can find out more about this below.

“The Passion” will be broadcast on March 27, 2024, two days before Good Friday. The story of the suffering of Jesus of Nazareth is accompanied by well-known pop songs as the procession leads through the city. You can see the spectacle in the stream on RTL+.

Since “The Passion” re-enacts the Passion story in many places in Kassel, many extras are also wanted to take part in the procession through Kassel’s city center and, among other things, carry the huge illuminated cross.
