It’s Max’s little habit: once December is upon us, the Warner Bros. Discovery streaming service (and therefore HBO) reveals its upcoming series for next year in a small trailer. And it must be said that 2024 promises to be rather generous. The platform is due to be launched next summer in France.
The Last of Us And Euphoria back… but in 2025
We will therefore have to expect very heavy things in 2024 from HBO and Max, as proven by this tempting trailer, which notably reveals new images from the series The Penguin, The Regime, True Detective season 4, House of the Dragon season 2, The Sympathizer And Industry season 3.
- Watch the trailer 2024 from Max:
If the next season of True Detective is close to us, and arrives on January 14, the rest of the program does not yet have a precise release date.
Among the new series, The Regimecreated by Will Tracy (The menu) and worn by Kate Winslet (Titanic, Avatar), will immerse us for a year within the palace walls of a fictitious authoritarian regime in Central Europe. Release planned for spring 2024.
The Sympathizer will tell the story, during the Vietnam War, of a communist spy infiltrated within the American forces. Produced by Robert Downey Jr., it is co-created by Park Chan-wook (Old Boy) and Don McKellar (Blindness). Released in 2024.
This trailer also shows us a little more about the miniseries The Penguinderived from the film The Batman by Matt Reeves, with Colin Farrell in the lead role. It will tell the story of the rise to power of Oswald Cobblepot – aka The Penguin – in the criminal world of Gotham City. Released at the end of 2024.
In addition to the programs planned for next year, Max also gives us a little preview of what’s coming next… and notably confirms season 2 of The Last of Us and season 3 of Euphoria for 2025.
Finally, we have the right to a few short seconds of Welcome to Derryseries derived from the horror film Thatalso planned for 2025. It’s not much, but it’s already that.
As a reminder, if it is still new in France, the American Max platform must be launched in the summer of 2024 in France. Its content has until now been accessible via Amazon Prime Video’s Warner Pass.
