After showing its gameplay last April, Blasphemous 2 take advantage of the Summer Game Fest to reveal its release date. The sequel to The Game Kitchen’s multi-award-winning action platformer will be released on August 24th. And as expected, it will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series and Nintendo Switch.
The story of Blasphemous 2 follows the events of the 2021 update of Blasphemous Wounds of Eventide. In the shoes of a Penitent who wakes up in an unknown and above all unforgiving land, players find themselves immersed in an endless cycle of life, death and resurrection.
As the miracle has returned and the birth of a new prophetic child has been predicted, it once again falls to the Penitent to do everything to prevent the prophecy from coming true. Doing so will require acquiring and then mastering all three unique weapons to survive long enough to judge anyone who stands in your way.
