Generation Social Media puts their cooking skills to the test

On June 19, celebrities will be at the stove again. This time, social media stars are also doing the honors at “The Perfect Celebrity Dinner”.
From June 19, some prominent faces will again face the great challenge and prove their skills at the stove: “Das Perfect Promi-Dinner” (always on Sundays from 8:15 p.m. on VOX) returns to the TV screen after three years. Generation Social Media will be serving up in week one.
Lara Loft, Malwanne, Papaplatte and MAX do the honors and conjure up a specially put together menu for their fellow campaigners. Have you never heard the names? These are the new hobby chefs of the social media generation.
Lara Loft
Her name is reminiscent of the game character Lara Croft from the Tomb Raider game series. And that’s exactly where the stage name of Lara Trautmann (33) comes from, her real name. Because the 33-year-old has already dubbed Croft for a video game. Trautmann is a trained voice actress and has already voiced characters for series such as “The Flash” and “The Vampire Diaries”. However, she seems to have found her real passion in gaming and does exactly that as a full-time job today.
Trautmann earns her money with streams on Twitch and videos on YouTube. On the streaming platform, over 300,000 subscribers are already watching her play video games live. On YouTube, she inspires over 200,000 followers with Let’s Plays, videos from everyday life, challenges and singing clips. Trautmann was also able to convince with her voice on “The Voice of Germany”. In 2016 she reached the “Sing Off” of the best 40 talents. However, it wasn’t enough for the live shows.

Also there: YouTube colleague Vanessa Maria Gierszewski (28) aka Malwanne. Her channel, which she has been diligently maintaining since 2012, now has over 880,000 subscribers. It all started with comedy clips. The 28-year-old now shows her everyday life in her videos and tests a wide variety of products.
Gierszewski is so successful on YouTube that she was even awarded the web video prize in the “Newcomer” category in 2015.

Kevin Andreas Teller’s (25) fans have known him as “Papaplatte” for years. The 25-year-old started his YouTube and streaming career in 2014. His main channel now has over 600,000 subscribers, and three other channels together also have over 600,000. Teller was always inspired by American YouTubers. He gained notoriety through his YouTube colleague Unge (31). At that time, Teller took part in his project “#0Tour”.
Papaplatte has also been available on the Twitch streaming platform since 2014. There, 1.6 million people are now watching him play the first-person shooter game “Counter Strike” and tell anecdotes from his everyday life. But especially his so-called sellout streams became well known. Here viewers could play one second of video material in the live stream for money. Most of the money raised went to charity.
Since 2020 he has been an integral part of the YouTuber and streamer scene and has achieved so-called meme status. This means that many of his clips from live streams end up in the reaction videos of other well-known YouTubers, which means that Papaplatte is constantly gaining popularity. But things haven’t always been rosy: Twitch has banned him several times after playing clips in streams that violated the guidelines. When he used his cell phone while driving his car in the stream, a three-month ban followed. He also speculated on investments in cryptocurrencies and lost several thousand euros.
Alongside his online career, Teller tried his hand at being a rapper. Under the name K.Te. he even produced his own beats for a while.
MAX
In line with “The perfect celebrity dinner”, the MAX aka KranCrafter (25) YouTube channel is mostly about food. More than a million subscribers watch Maximilian test a wide variety of dishes at home or in restaurants.
MAX started out in 2013 as a Let’s player on the web video platform. He regularly filmed himself playing games like Minecraft and other games and then put clips of it online. His best friend laserluca (26), who called himself ConCrafter at the time, is also well known. MAX’s old stage name is inspired by his friend’s and came about during a live stream with him. Occasionally they both record videos together.
MAX now not only uploads Let’s Plays or food videos, but also delights its fans with entertainment clips.
