The Philips 7000 HR3760 Series blender is armed with automatic programs

Philips already has a great deal of experience in the small world of blenders and the new High Speed 7000 series HR3760 therefore enriches a plethoric offer. Despite its name which could have suggested a heating model (thanks to the friction of the blades), it is in line with the most classic devices. However, it still has a rather beefy 1500 watt motor. Thanks to it and a knife with four blades (one of which is serrated), the High Speed 7000 series HR3760 is, theoretically, able to crush the hardest foods such as ice cubes or nuts.

6 automatic programs

To harness this power, the High Speed 7000 Series HR3760 has two control methods. A manual mode gives total freedom to the user concerning the speed of rotation of the blades to be adjusted with the wheel. The automatic mode, for its part, consists of a set of six preparations: smoothie, soup, nut butter, dessert (to make pancake or cake batters), sauces, crushed ice. There is also a “pulse” function (the blades rotate at maximum speed as long as the appropriate button is pressed) but also an automatic cleaning program. As often, however, it is preferable to carry out a more thorough cleaning by cleaning the blades with a sponge. Good point, the bowl of the High Speed 7000 HR3760 series is removable and allows easy access to the knife.

The bowl is made of glass, a material more resistant to scratches than plastic but also heavier. It offers a maximum volume of 2 liters, but the manufacturer recommends not to exceed 1.8 liters of preparation, especially when the blender must mix hot foods. As is already the case on other devices, the walls have been worked so that the vortex created by the rotation of the blades does not push the ingredients outwards: four ridges disturb the movement of the liquid to bring what was not sprayed towards the blades.

The High Speed 7000 series is available in two versions. The HR3760/10, sold for €180, comes with an additional water bottle on which to attach the blades for mixing. At the end of the latter, all you have to do is replace the knife with a suitable lid to be able to take your drink with you without having to transfer it to another container. The HR3760/00, which only has the glass bowl, should be available for €150.
