After teasing his smartphone earlier this week, accompanied by parrots (!), Nothing showed the back of his Phone (1). This phone adopts an original aesthetic, but not unlike that of the brand’s Ear (1).
For the past few days, Nothing has been teasing the future design of its smartphone on his Twitter account. We had to wait until Tuesday June 15, 2022 to finally discover the back side and thus appreciate the aesthetics of the first mobile from Carl Pei’s company.
As promised, its appearance is quite atypical. Contrary to what we can see in the smartphone landscape, Nothing is betting on showing – in part – the interior of its model. The opportunity to admire what appears to be a wireless charging location and the two photo modules. The all-white smartphone reveals the curves of the rooms it houses and highlights them with even whiter bands. Nothing is careful not to show the lower part, but it has few secrets to reveal to us, except perhaps the presence or absence of a jack.
Nothing indicates on its site that its first smartphone was designed with carefully chosen materials, without indicating what that meant. But we can imagine that the company wanted to design a phone thinking above all about the planet and the pollution that this type of device can represent. However, it is unlikely that the firm will go as far as a Fairphone, for example.
As a reminder, the Phone (1) presentation conference will take place on July 12 at 5 p.m. It will allow us to learn more about this much-awaited mobile, above all on its still unclear technical sheet.
