The sale prices of housing located in French mountain resorts are up 2% on average over one year, in contrast to the entire French real estate market which is down 1.8%, according to a study by the Meilleurs Agents website published Monday.

Over the last twelve months (from February 2023 to January 2024), prices increased by 6% in the Southern Alps, by 1.6% in the Northern Alps and by 1.2% in the Jura and the Pyrenees, ‘after this study.

The most expensive ski resort remains Val-d’Isre (Savoie) with 15,268 euros per square meter, highly coveted by international clients, followed by Courchevel And Mribel.

The Massif Central and the Vosges, more affordable

Conversely, the The Massif Central remains the most affordable with real estate prices of 2,442 euros per square meter on average. The Lac Blanc resort in the Vosges emerges as being the least expensive, 1350 euros per square meter.

At 2,669 euros on average per square meter on February 1, the Pyrenees appear as the third most accessible French massif, behind the Vosges and the Massif Central.
