Polestar formalizes its very first electric SUV: the Polestar 3.

Polestar 3: the electric SUV from the North
Volvo’s sports division has been producing vehicles under its name for some years now. After the Polestar 2 some time ago, the manufacturer logically formalizes a brand new model called Polestar 3, which takes the form of a 100% electric SUV.
This is a first for Polestar, which promises an SUV that is comfortable, manoeuvrable, powerful and durable. This SUV with a dynamic look, with a plunging roof and hood, suggests by its silhouette a real work as regards the general aerodynamics of the car.
Not before the end of 2023 in concession
This new Polestar 3 will be offered in Dual Motor, with a total power of 360 kW (about 490 hp) via two electric motors. Those looking for more power can opt for the Performance version, which displays 380 kW of power, or 520 hp.
This Polestar 3 SUV offers a total of five seats on board, with a wheelbase of 2.99 m. On board, there is also a very large 14.5-inch central screen that (almost) replaces the physical buttons, and too bad for security. Added to this is a digital display behind the steering wheel.
Polestar also wants to position its electric SUV as a benchmark in terms of autonomy. This will require the presence on board of a 111 kWh battery, enough to promise a range (WLTP) of 610 km.
The Polestar 3 is expected to be available for sale in late 2023, with a retail price starting at $83,900. It remains to be seen now whether the latter will manage to be marketed in France. The brand has long been blocked by Citroën regarding its logo.
