The Pope will attend the G7 summit in June, announces Meloni


ROME, (Reuters) – Pope Francis will attend the G7 summit scheduled for June in Italy to discuss the challenges posed by artificial intelligence (AI), announced the President of the Italian Council, Giorgia Meloni.
“This is the first time in history that a sovereign pontiff will attend the work of a G7,” she underlines in a video message.

The leaders of the G7 (United States, Japan, France, United Kingdom, Germany, Italy and Canada) will meet from June 13 to 15 in a hotel complex in Puglia, Borgo Egnazia, in southern Italy. (Report by Crispian Balmer, French version by Sophie Louet)
